Fort Recovery Industries, Aluminum Die Cast Facility
Description
Remodel 50,000sf vacant pre-engineered metal building. Complete 16 division remodel including 16,000sf Die Cast Bay, 3,000sf office and employee welfare area.
The original 50,000sf speculative building 'shell' was constructed during the winter of 2001 for the Jay County Development Corporation. During succeeding years there had been minimal improvements to the building interior, including a concrete floor, 3,000sf steel office and stair structure, and some lighting.
The building remained vacant until purchased by Fort Recovery Industries in January 2011.
Briner Building, Inc. was hired to design and build within the existing structure a new Aluminum Die-Cast Facility. The design build work encompassed complete site development for employee and visitor parking, trucking paving along with site utilities and site drainage. Building interiors included design of a new 10-Ton self supported craneway structure in a new Die Cast Bay, and a 3-bay truck dock. Additionally, a 3,000sf office and employee welfare area was designed around the pre-existing steel office and stair structure.
